Expert Septic Inspection, Service, and Installation in Maryland and West Virginia

We perform state-certified septic inspections and repairs for Maryland,  and West Virginia Counties.

Your septic system is an all-in-one underground wastewater treatment and sequestration system. Septic Systems are most often found in rural areas. Properties in Frederick, Montgomery, Washington Counties, and West Virginia that don’t have access to municipal sewage systems require Septic systems. Because homeowners still need an effective way to deal with wastewater. Waste produced by your bathrooms, kitchen drain, and laundry travels through buried pipelines to your Septic tank.

Organic matter in the water is broken down by naturally occurring bacteria. At the same time, floatable matter fat, oil, and other debris are separated from the rest of the water. The effluent (treated water) is discharged back into the ground through leaching chambers or leaching fields. At the same time, the leftovers form a sludge, which periodically requires the septic system to be pumped out. Our professional technicians at Tri-County Pumps perform septic cleaning and pumping services. The result is an efficient and effective wastewater treatment system that performs its duties reliably so long as it receives regular checkups and maintenance.

What Goes into a Septic Inspection?

When providing a full septic inspection, we first locate the septic and uncover the lid if it’s not already accessible by a riser. Our certified inspector will observe the inside condition of the septic tank and check both inlet/outlet baffles. The technician will then perform a hydro test by discharging water into the still-full septic tank to ensure the liquid is exiting the outlet baffle. This will indicate the drain field is accepting the outflow of waste liquids. Should liquid begin to flow out of the outlet baffle and back into the septic tank, then this indicates a malfunction in the drain field. The drain field will also be walked and viewed for over-saturation or structures that pose potential issues. The septic tank will then be pumped so the integrity of the septic tank’s walls and floor can be inspected structurally.
