Many of our customers ask us how the water from their residential wells get to their building. The process is pretty simple. First, the home well pump works to pump the water up the drop pipe in the well. Once there, it reaches the top of the well and is diverted from vertical to horizontal through fittings called pitless adapter well fittings.

Today’s pitless adapters for well pumps allow unobstructed access to the well. This makes it easier for technicians to do servicing since they no longer have to get inside a well pit or excavate. After the water flows through the pitless well adapter, it enters the water line that is connected to the tank. This is where your water is stored and pressurized until it is used.
