General Purpose of the Position

The Septic Pumper is responsible for pumping, cleaning, and identifying repair needs for wastewater systems and other plumbing-related components used for wastewater disposal. The Septic Pumper should have experience or willingness to learn cleaning, pumping, repairing, inspecting, and installing wastewater systems. This individual should have proper certifications or be willing to obtain proper certifications that allow the Septic Pumper to perform state wastewater system inspections.

 

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting wastewater systems
  • Pump and Clean wastewater systems
  • Repair or Replace basic wastewater system components.
  • Perform Plumbing related service calls.
  • Create Invoices.
  • Complete required service call documents (ex. Well System Checklist)
  • Properly document service calls by taking pictures.
  • Write descriptions of work and recommendations of work.
  • Perform short-scale estimates.
  • Perform certified wastewater system inspections for real estate transactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Properly keep stock and good care of service vehicles.
  • Oversee helpers when assigned.
  • Take an active role in helping to train and educate assigned apprentices and helpers
  • Continuously advance their education and knowledge.

 

 

Qualifications

  • No experience is necessary. Willing to train and educate highly motivated individuals looking for a career in the plumbing and septic industry!
  • Good mechanical and technical skills; interested in gaining experience reading technical designs and blueprints
  • State Wastewater inspection certifications or willingness to obtain
